The visual identity narrates the rich history of Hatton Garden, tracing its
transformation from an area once inhabited by notable figures into the vibrant
diamond-centric street it is today. Over time, some of its historical charm has faded, so the aim is to
inspire people passing through to stop, look up, and appreciate the street’s rich
history. Many people tend to see it as just a passageway and look down while
walking. The map offers a warm welcome, like opening a jewelry
box, where visitors find a map and an invitation to explore the street’s history.
The visual identity consists of a Box that holds the Map, a Custom Typeface, Sign and a Banner. Inside the Box are also small cards that offer information about the important parts of the street, some of which still stand today and some left in history. Each element is designed to coexist in the street of Hatton Garden giving life to the dull street and bringing back elements which was once there.
