Design from past
to present
The visual identity project for Hatton Garden, a street steeped in London’s rich history and cultural significance. This project explores the intricate process of creating a cohesive visual identity that captures and celebrates the essence of this iconic location.

Visual identity encompasses a harmonious blend of typography, color schemes, image treatment, composition, and graphic elements such as shapes, patterns, and symbols. The task is to design multiple touchpoints that will vividly represent the essence of Hatton Garden, ensuring that every visual element contributes to a unified and compelling narrative.

The creative journey began with a deep dive into the street’s historical, social, and cultural fabric. By engaging with archival materials and immersing myself in the street’s atmosphere, I gained the insights necessary to develop a design that reflects its past while celebrating its present.

My approach involved a deep dive into Hatton Garden’s historical and cultural fabric, blending past and present to craft a unique visual language. The project encompasses a custom-designed alphabet tailored to reflect the street’s character, a street sign that integrates this typeface, and a large-format banner intended for impactful streetscape installation.

In addition, I designed a printed map or guide, combining functionality with artistic flair, to invite exploration and engagement with Hatton Garden. The map’s design, inspired by the opulence and history of the area, draws from the concept of a jewelry box to evoke a sense of nostalgia and luxury.

Through the thoughtful use of typography, color, texture, and graphic elements, this visual identity project brings to life Hatton Garden’s rich narrative, creating a unified and compelling representation of its storied heritage and vibrant present.
